Calling all SSAFA members

We need help in a few areas for the running of the tournament.

As this is a Club event it would be great if a few faces stood up to help and not just leave it to the same few.

The more we have to help means everyone gets a chance to fish rather than miss out

Please call either Joe, Stan or myself if you can spare a bit of time over the weekend.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

What a great weekend to hold a comp, the weather turned out to be nothing short of fantastic - not sure what happened to the weather predictions everyone was dreading.
The comp saw 65 plus entries head out to try and out do each other with a mix of skill - quality equipment - top baits & lures and heaps of luck.
The weighing saw a steady stream of quality fish coming in on the Saturday afternoon, with most coming in the evening for the BBQ and cold drinks.
After a recharge of batteries and an ale or two, some went out for an evening session and to enjoy the calm evening. Bandit was busy setting up his tent with the other campers so that he & his beautiful little Princess could enjoy the spirit of the outdoors and maybe see a bear or two.
Sunday saw many quality fish and a great mixed lot come in for weighing.
Bream - Salmon - Whiting - Flathead - Flounder - Kingfish - Stripe Tuna - Mac tuna - Mulloway but to name a few.
Congrats to Manny for a nice flathead of 3.4kg & Matty with a Jewy of 3.5kg.
Sunday afternoon saw everyone return for the final weigh in and awards.
Certificates and trophies were awarded and a monster raffle which saw almost everyone win something, thanks to Arthur at Fish Therapy and Sea Sea Marine who both sponsered the event.

Bandit was hot on the BBQ and cooked up a real storm that saw everyone coming back for 3rd's & 4ths, although i think the heat got to him a bit

Congrats to all the winners, as well as the boat crew who felt sorry for the large beached red fish. They brought it back to the club for a bit of a feed and drink, then released it later.

Another great weekend with many a laugh and exchange of stories even between rival clubs. Really nice to sit and have a beer with guys from other fishing clubs who are more than happy to swap spots and ideas in an effort to make the fishing time more enjoyable for all.

A big thanks to all the members who gave up part of their fishing time to help with the tasks.
