I have been trying to make a set of rods for myself and match them to this baby that I used to own previously. My fav ride to date. 5.7L of Chev V8
I am now running around in an AWD drive version of the same thing but alas its dull old grey but if I sell lots and lots of rods then I'll upgrade to latest model which now runs a 6L Chev
My dreams are shattered, I cant find stocks of the bright red EVA that I used to sell so will have to put that dream aside and hope I can score some of that EVA at a later stage
In the meantime I am on a new mission. This is the Daiwa Maverick 6500H and I am in lust
. New project is to build up on my GT Popping blank in matching colours. The other red EVA that has arrived looks to be a good match and I have the right colour threads. I will be glueing up the handle tonight and upload pics as the build goes on. Will be doing this in between orders so will take a some time
Wish me luck!! Mrs doesnt understand

Is this rod to take away with you to Fiji for the wedding? as mid life crisis is still a bit away from you.
looking forward to the colour scheme as it will suit new CI4 stradic + fireblood
Cheers

as long as the rod is not like most Holdens - JUST HOLDING ON
How about coming up with some better names as well..........
My new one is a
World Combat GTZ Black Mafia 76.....
, now that's a name.
Forget the soft Fijian names, after all "bandit" is as soft as butter and he is Fijian as well...........

Carefull or I will throw coconuts at you. Oi bandit, give us a hand
Had a bit of an accident last night. Went to woolies to grab some steaks and stepped on a grape. As you can imagine, the spill was something to behold. Injured my left leg though and still in a lot of pain. Rum and neurofen is helping some.
Feeling well enough to continue working so onto glueing up the handle. I have both EVA and hypalon in the not so funky red. I am torn between the two but think I will go with the EVA to save some weight

Here is the winding check fitted to the tip section. This butts up like a seal onto the foregrip once the tip is inserted into the ferrule

Them grapes are deadly fruit!!!
Went to the doc today to discuss the xray results. Fractured fibula head. Will be fitted with a knee brace in a few hours, staying on for a long weeks. Time for some self inflicted pain....yeas, I am going to attempt a crosswrap of some sort!!!!
